Asheville, NC (9/17/24) – Despite the cold and rainy weather outside it did not stop the full on electric atmosphere inside of the Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center in Asheville, NC. The excitement for opening night of the Seether/Skillet tour was on high. The bands have teamed up for a co-headlining tour in support of each groups new albums soon to be released. One word comes to mind with these two bands and that is “consistency.” Having seen both bands multiple times they give a quality performance over and over again that keeps the crowds coming back.

Tim Montana and Royale Lynn are featured guests support acts for this run of dates that continue through October 20th ending in Minneapolis, MN.

With their upcoming November 1st, 2024 release date for the new album “Revolution” on the horizon Skillet commanded the attention of their fans. The crowd were given a captivating light show and frontman/bassist John Cooper’s use of some Cryo Cannons made sure the audience were “Awake and Alive.” Delivering hit songs such as opener “Invincible” and “Monster” the band showcased favorites of their catalog. Never ones to shy away from their faith the band delivered a sometimes “Unpopular” opinion of their “Hero” with a message of unity and hope between songs and focused on how music brings us all together. Korey Cooper (guitar), Jen Ledger (drums) and Seth Morrison (guitar) each delivered a high energy performance that the band has become known for. With 11 albums under their belt that have garnered Grammy nominations, multi platinum sales and numerous awards there is no doubt the upcoming new album will provide another solid track list.

Seether would deliver an equally impressive performance yet vastly different. A predominantly dark lit stage and no talking meant all business for the band. The Shaun Morgan fronted group kicked things off with “Gasoline” from their 2002 debut album “Disclaimer. Joined by bassist Dale Stewart, John Humphrey on drums (of The Nixons) and guitarist Corey Lowery the group gave a raw yet polished performance. The set list took fans on a journey through the band’s discography with songs like “Fake It,” “Nobody Praying For Me” and “Country Song.” With the release of their 9th studio album “The Surface Seems So Far” only three days away loyal supporters were eager to hear the previously released new single “Judas Mind” live. As the intro played the enthusiasm could be felt and heard throughout the venue.
