Monroe, GA (July 11th, 2020) – Live music seems to be a rare thing these days across the country but if you look hard enough you can find it. Thanks to people like Jennifer and Daniel Roberson some artists are being able to strip it down for some in home acoustic shows. Having hosted a few them already with artists like Billy Don Burns and Casper McWade the Roberson’s Honky Tonk House brought in Clint Park for this weekends show.
Many know Clint as a member of Ward Davis’ band but he has done his fair share of solo stuff with a self titled EP available on digital platforms. He has also done some music with his Dad in a duo called “The Parks” with a 2009 full album available as well. Clint has shared songwriting credits with Ward Davis and Cody Jinks amongst others.
Tonight would be a laid back night all about Clint Park though. With some pre-show music from Jay Baird, Daniel Roberson, Christian Roberson and myself (Michael Bragg) the night was warming up well accompanied by plenty of food and drinks. Not sure if you’ve heard or not but Clint like Peach Crown, lol.
Kicking off his set with “Long Haired Country Boy” Park’s paid homage to Charlie Daniels as he followed up with his original “Why Can’t It Be Raining.” Through out the night Clint provided multiple sets of music from his own originals to covers by some of his favored artists. Many requests were also taken from attendees. With an upcoming EP to be released later this year Park’s performed some of his new music as well.
It’s one thing to see artist you enjoy on stage in a live music venue (which doesn’t seem to be a reality again any time soon)…but it’s a completely different experience to an artist perform in someone’s living room. Up close and personal with many laughs and stories behind the songs. With no curfew and no show to hit the road for the next day music and socializing continued well in to the night before bringing an end to a great evening log entertainment and new friends made.
