Charlotte, NC (11/17/21) – I’m not sure Charlotte was prepared for the star powered show at Coyote Joe’s. With Country 103.7FM presenting the evenings “Stage of Stars” event the venue saw fans lining up at noon to take their places once doors would open 7hrs later. Fresh off the heels of the 2021 CMA Awards the show featured the newly crowned Female Vocalist of the Year Carly Pearce along with Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi and 90’s country star Clay Walker. Showtime had been set for 8pm but with vehicles lined up over a mile down the road still trying to get in entertainment would not begin until 9pm. Each artist would go on to play in a round performing one song each for five rounds. Carly Pearce featured her latest release, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” which is actually a duet co-written with Ashley McBryde. She also included “What He Didn’t Do,” both songs being from her latest album release “29: Written In Stone.” Male Vocalist of the year nominee Dierks Bentley showcased his song “Gone” which was also nominated for Video of The Year.” With chants of “Hootie” filling the sold out venue Darius Rucker kicked things off with his latest single “My Masterpiece” before obliging fans in a later round to a throw back sing along of “Hold My Hand.” The “Night Shift” continued on with Jon Pardi before moving on to Clay Walker performing “This Woman and This Man.”
The night would be filled with many stories and laughs as well. The 5 stars provided insight on the inspiration to write some of their biggest hits, Jon jokingly stealing a song from Tim McGraw to tales of days when each group passed through the venue as they began their climb up the ladder of success. Coyote Joes may have been busting at the seams but each entertainer drew in the crowd making the show feel a bit more intimate and personal.
