Charlotte, North Carolina (June 18, 2018) – Darryl Hall & John Oates brought their Philly Forget Me Not Tour to the  Spectrum Center in CharlotteNC tonight.  Along with them were co-headliners, Train and special guest opener, Kandace Springs.

Crowds built outside the venue as show time neared in anticipation for some classic hits.  The tour is named after the first song the duo has put out in 14 years, that was co-written along with Train’s frontman Pat Monahan.

Kandace Springs opened the show with some soulful jazz and R&B-influenced stylings that entertained the early birds into the venue.  There is a peaceful delicacy to her voice that echoed throughout the venue with a strong presence.

Followed up next by the group, Train, who came to popularity in the 1990’s.  Coming out to their hit song “Parachute” lighting the stage up with energy, Pat Monahan took to engaging the crowd right away. Back and forth across the front row shaking hands and taking moments with fans phones for selfies as the group performed.

As the lights were lowered between sets the backdrop screen lit up with a video displaying multiple old vinyl 45’s, with the titles of various hits by Hall & Oates as the band took the stage. “Hello, Charlotte” Darryl Hall yelled out, as he took to the mic for the groups opening song, “Maneater“, with John Oatesjoining in on guitar. The crowd erupted with enthusiasm singing along to every word.  An arena full of smiles and sing along songs, with generations of fans taking it all in.

A great night of music that left everyone in a feel-good mood as the show ended and streets filled once again with people telling stories of their favorite moments from the night’s show.
