Greenville, SC (August 28th, 2019) – September Mourning isn’t your typical rock band. Formed in 2009 by the creative concept of lead singer Emily Lazar (September) the group combines audio and visual theatrics to bring to life a dark culture comic book theme.
September, a human-reaper hybrid, is joined on stage by her band of reapers Raven, Stitch and Wraith as they present the story of navigating through dead and alive souls to possess occasionally giving sympathy and second chances to some.
As the story projects on the screen in the background the four piece provides the sound track to the comic book story which Emily wrote herself. Giving fans, better known as “Children of Fate,” performances of songs such as “‘Til You See Heaven” and a darker version of the classic “Stand By Me” from their “Volume ll” album September and her reapers hold the crowds attention as she personally points and draws fans into the stage. Engaging one on one with those in attendance giving an up close and personal performance.
The show takes you on a journey unlike your standard rock show with just lights and music. September Mourning provide a themed concept that has your mind racing to take in all the elements of what’s being presented.
With the recent July 12th release of a new single titled “Unholy” it was a surprise to see the crowd singing along to every word. Showing dedication and loyalty by fans who come to shows for various interests. September Mourning draws a following from the cosplay and comic book enthusiasts to the hardcore rock and metal music lovers. The “transmedia” experience is something worth seeing if you haven’t before.
September Mourning is currently out on tour with dates listed through November 3rd ending in Minneapolis, MN. The band be joining Smile Empty Soul on select dates also.
