Greenville, SC (April 19th, 2019) – Legendary California rockers the “LA Guns“ featuring Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns rolled into to Greenville, SC this evening for a stop on their current tour presented by ”Artisan Entertainment.”  On the heels of their recent album release these veterans were prepared to take the crowd on a musical journey to back when rock ’n’ roll was real.

Opening the show at The Firmament from South Carolina’s state capitol of Columbia came the guys of Stardog.  This band came out and got the party started.  Full of energy and rock n roll, this is a group to keep an eye on.  Making sure the crowd had their hands up and screaming for more by the end of their set.

Taking the stage next were fellow Cailfornian‘s “The Darbies.“ This is a group of young guys that are full of talent, enthusiasm, and just dirty rock and roll.  Spending their whole time on stage making you feel like your back in the 80’s, with crazy guitar solos, insane bass lines, pounding drums, and a lead vocalist carrying the whole crowd in the palm of his hands.  It’s great seeing such a younger band reminding everyone rock ‘n‘ roll is very much alive.  This is one up and coming band that everyone needs to take a listen to.  If they are at a venue in your area, you better check them out. Next time they are in town, I’m putting the camera down and getting front row.  I look forward to the opportunity of working with seeing these guys again in the future.

Headlining the show and making us all feel like we were partying on the Sunset Strip was LA Guns.  With Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns back together, these guys spent the show playing through many Of their classic hits and proving to those in attendance why they still draw a crowd and that they can still rock. Out supporting their new album “The Devil You Know,“ we could all see they still got it and that they have stayed true to their identifiable sound.

Behind the mic on lead vocals was Phil, who sounds just as good as he always has as he sang their hit “The Ballad of Jayne.”  Carrying us all away with his guitar solos was Tracii.  You could tell by watching him this guy loves what he does, leaving you itching for just one more note.  Holding it down on the rhythm was guitar player Ace Von Johnson from the band Faster Pussycat.  Coming out on stage with his Ouija board Les Paul, this guy fit in the band perfect.  Right beside him was Johnny Martin, carrying the rhythm with his bass playing and back up vocals.  Also pushing the rhythm was new drummer Scot Coogan, who also played with Tracii in the band “Brides of Destruction.”

With Tracii and Phil back together and a new album under their belts. I have a feeling will be seeing these guys again, and they will continue making us feel like we are a bunch of wild kids back in the 80’s. Taking us back to the days of tight pants, big hair, and when MTV ruled the world.
