Reno, NV (2/19/25) – Gary Clark Jr. brought his “JPEG RAW” tour to the Grand Sierra Theatre in Reno, Nevada. It sure didn’t take him long to solidify why he has been awarded four Grammy Awards. The crowd was rife with anticipation as the house lights dimmed. The stage remained pitch black for several moments, building up the apprehension. Finally, through a bath of blood red light, Gary Clark Jr. and band took the stage, performing “Maktub” from his critically acclaimed “JPEG RAW” album. Although he would occasionally check in with the audience, Clark seems to be a man of few words, preferring to let his music do the talking.
Through the 16 song set the crowd hung onto each note and lyric. In total, Clark performed six songs from the “JPEG RAW” album, including “What About the Children” which he co-wrote with Stevie Wonder. Fan favorites such as “The Healing,” “When My Train Pulls In,” “Pearl Cadillac,” and “Travis County” were also flawlessly performed.
