Greenville, SC (5/15/21) – So before this show I knew of Hardy, but I didn’t KNOW Hardy.  I had heard stories about his shows and friends saying “you need to check this guy out“.  I should have paid attention to them.  I had no idea what a wild, fun, and energetic night was ahead of me.

Most of the time when you do concerts or tours like this you have a ton of time to kill and a lot of opening bands.  This show wasn’t like that at all.  When show time arrived Hardy and his band came out swinging.  The stage, adorned with a huge backdrop and plenty of lights, was also filled with some great talent. Hearing so many people sing every word to songs I had never heard of kept me on the edge of my seat like his song  “Ain’t A Bad Day“ which I can’t get out of my head now.  He also played his hit “One Beer” that he did with Lauren Alaina.  That wasn’t the highlight of the evening to me though.  What thrilled me was watching him sing and absolutely kill songs he had written for other artists like  the song “God’s Country” for example.  Blake Shelton needs to sit down and take notes, because Hardy and his band rocked it harder than most rock bands out there could.  Hardy also threw in the hugely successful song “Up Down, “ which he and Morgan Wallen wrote together.  If you guys are like me, you’re humming that song the rest of the day every time you hear it.

This guy isn’t just some song writer, he is an amazing singer and entergainer.  His shows are full of bright lights, screaming back up vocals, blaring guitars, and hard hitting drums that all fit together and work perfectly.  This “country“ artist could put to shame a lot of rock bands I’ve worked with over the years.  After the show Hardy took time to speak for a moment and even signed my camera.  I mean that in itself is a fun rock ‘n‘roll story I can tell people about.  Don’t be like I was before this show…get on whatever apps you use and look this guy up now.
