Greenville, SC (October 5th, 2019) – When doing concert photography and music reviews I always do some research before the show. When looking up Jon Langston all I could find was huge crowds at shows and social media sites blowing up with activity about him. I knew right then I was in for an experience with Jon’s show tonight at The Blind Horse Saloon in Greenville, SC.
Storming onto the stage with his camo jacket and his hat pulled down low, Jon kicked the night off with his hit “All Eyes On Us.“ With the crowd screaming and singing every word along with him, It didn’t take long to see the strong fan base he has built in the upstate. After telling the crowd how he blends together country, rock, and hip hop he hit us all with a his version of “Play Something Country” by Brooks & Dunn while mixing in a little bit a Tom Petty to keep things interesting. While playing his song “When It Comes To Loving You,” Jon took a moment to tell the crowd this was his way of sliding a little blues into his country. If the show wasn’t already wild and fun enough, Jon grabbed a bottle of Crown Royal and made his way to the front of the stage. Taking time to share a shot of whiskey with the crowd.
With an amazing band and attention grabbing stage presence, Jon’s show is a must see. He may be country but finds away to blend everything into his show. He doesn’t come out wearing $200 jeans and fancy shirts, he’s there to remind us what country is really about. Be sure to check our Jon in person with tour dates listed through the end of October. Jon will also be joint Morgan Wallen on tour starting in January with guest opener Ashland Craft of The Voice
