Greenville, SC (April 6th, 2019) – Keeping the Legacy Alive- Mark Chesnutt comes to Greenville, SC.
Giving Greenville a taste of classic country music, Mark Chesnutt arrived at the Blind Horse Saloon April 6th, 2019. Chesnutt attracted a variety of ages with anxious ears to come listen to his traditional yet powerful music. Greenville was the next stop in his tour as he showcases some of his greatest hits throughout his career.

Swinging right into the night, the four time platinum album artist began with one of his greatest hits: “Goin’ Through the Big D”. The packed room, full of enthusiastic and lively fans, sang along with loud and energetic voices.
Continuing the show with contagious liveliness, Chesnutt proceeded to play several of his other greatest hits such as “Blame It on Texas”, “I Just Wanted You to Know” and “Brother Jukebox”.
Chesnutt had a way of making fans feel at home with his traditional style, even commenting that “real country music is so hard to find these days.” However, despite this, Chesnutt is able to stay true to the heart of country music. The interactions between Chesnutt and his band members and Chesnutt and his fans were truly heartfelt. Handing out his guitar picks and waving at fans while also smiling and laughing on stage with his band members gave Greenville a sense of the legacy that Chesnutt has been carrying out since the 90’s. He showed fans the true meaning of classic and traditional country music.

Moreover, Chesnutt was able to speak about something that was important to him while leading into his song “Talkin’ to Hank”. Chesnutt mentioned that the guitar strap he was using was given to him by another country legend, George Jones. Jones has been a major influence for Chesnutt and his career and the two recorded the song together. Chesnutt moved on to sing one of Jones’ famous songs “I’m A One Woman Man”.
Carrying on into the night, Chesnutt continued with some more of his top single hits, including “Ol’ Country”, “I’ll Think of Something” and “Thank God for Believers”. Fans continued to sing along throughout the night while raising their cowboy hats in the air to the music Chesnutt proceeded to close out the show with his song “Gonna Get a Life”. After finishing, he and his band members walked off stage only to be cheered on by fans asking them to come back on stage. Chesnutt and his band members couldn’t resist and walked back on stage with much enthusiasm and excitement to sing Chesnutt’s famous single “Bubba Shot the Jukebox”. Ending the night, Chesnutt tells his fans to “keep on honky tonkin’”.
Greenville was left with a heartfelt show and many memories from this country music legend. Mark Chesnutt will continue to tour throughout the country. His next show will be April 12 in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
