Walhalla, SC (October 18th, 2019) – When people sit down and discuss real country music one band you can’t look over is Shenandoah.  Having formed in 1984 the group has gone on to amass a Grammy, 3 Gold Albums, and numerous other awards.  Providing 26 Billboard charting singles the band has provided years of unforgettable songs solidifying their place in music history. Fans still love to hear and sing along to classic hits and have been given the opportunity to do so tonight as they perform at the Walhalla Performing Arts Center

With original lead singer Marty Raybon leading the band, they were in town to show everyone they are still hard at work.  Having released their latest single “Noise” in 2017 and follow up record “Reloaded” in 2018 the band is giving their fans new music for the first time in 20 years with much approval by this evenings crowd. Of course the band took time in the show to play fan favorites such as “Two Dozen Roses” and “Next To You, Next To Me” as well. Shenandoah also performed “Somewhere In The Vicinity Of The Heart” that the band wrote with Allison Krauss.  Marty have left the band for awhile but he’s back and his vocals still fit perfectly just like they did back in the 80’s and 90’s. A nice touch to the show is the group taking time to joke around with the crowd between songs giving moments for everyone to laugh during some light hearted commentary.

It’s always nice seeing new talent come up in music but what gets me is when old friends get back together and record new music.  They’ve had some members come and go, but they are still what we all know as Shenandoah.

Don’t miss your chance to see those great band live with dates currently listed through November 1st where they perform at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.
