(Sacramento, CA) – Ole 60 brought their unique country, country-rock, grunge, and emotionally tinged
anthems to one of my most favorite venues in Northern California. Channel 24 in
Sacramento, California has a capacity of 2,400 people. The majority of that capacity is
standing room only (general admission) on the lower level. While the balcony area
offers assigned seating with a spectacular view of the stage.

Ole 60 has been on one helluva tear! Going from being a supporting act for artists like
Zach Bryan, to an appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, and their very own headlining
tour. Ole 60 also released their very first full-length album, ‘Smokestack Town’ back in
October 2025.

The band has been selling out venues all across the country, this show at Channel 24
was no exception. Completely SOLD-OUT! Although I knew the show was sold-out
beforehand, I was not prepared for the spectacle when I arrived at the venue two full
hours before the doors were set to open.
The line to get into the venue was already wrapping around the venue. Two hours
before doors even opened! The very first people in line actually arrived at 9:00 AM that
morning. That’s just one testament to how Ole 60’s music is impacting their audience.
Speaking of audience, this was one of the absolute best and friendliest gathering of
2,400 concert goers I have ever encountered.

Hailing from smalltown Kentucky and named after US Highway 60 that literally brought
the band members together, Ole 60 blends many different musical genres into their
sound. While you can definitely hear the influence of Rock and Roll, and even some
hard rock, the influence of Roots, Folk, and Americana is prevalent in the lyrics. The
storytelling is raw and it’s real.

After showering the first few rows with ice cold Miller Lite, the band set out to burn the
house to the ground. Although these guys had nothing to prove, they beat up that stage
like it owed them money. With tight arrangements, stellar musicianship, and gritty
vocals, this Ole 60 show is a strong contender for the best show of 2026. A few standout songs for me were ‘Dust to Dust’, ‘Watching Me Bleed’, ‘Really Wanna Know’,
‘Yellow’ (Coldplay), ‘Nutshell’ (Alice In Chains), and ‘Smoke & Light’.
Ole 60 is a band to keep your eye on! This band will undoubtedly be headlining arenas
very soon, though they’ll always be Smokestack Town tried and true.
